Ramaleela will be not a usual comedy entertainers like Dileep’s previous movies !

Ramaleela, is one of the highly anticipated movies of Janapriya nayakan Dileep, this year. The movie is a political thriller with actor Dileep in lead role, and is directed by newbie Arun Gopy. The teaser of the film was recently released online on the actor’s official social networking page. The teaser introduces Dileep’s character Ramannunni who ends up becoming a politician because of unforeseen incidents in his life.

According reports, Ramaleela will be a refreshing change from the regular Dileep films that have more prominence to humour, Ramaleela is a serious subject; a political drama. Noted scenarist Sachy has scripted this movie. In the film, Dileep plays a role called Ramannunni. It is said that he accidentally becomes a politician and takes on the corrupt system. Actor Prayaga Martin plays the female lead and Kalabhavan Shajon, Renji Panicker, Salim Kumar, Mukesh and Vijayaraghavan among others play the supporting cast. Meanwhile, Radhika Sarathkumar, who plays Dileep’s mother in the film, will return to Malayalam cinema after a gap of 24 years with this film.

Pulimurugan cinematographer Shaji Kumar cranks the camera for the movie while Gopi Sunder composes music. Ramaleela is produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam, who had bankrolled Malayalam cinema’s biggest ever box office hit Pulimurugan, with Mohanlal, last year. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on July 7.
