Onam Releases Of Malayalam Cinema 2017; Two movies postponed !!!

Onam is one of the most prominent movie releasing seasons for the Malayalam cinema.The industry is eagerly waiting for the season to arrive, as some highly promising projects are expected to be released. There are four big releases lined up: Laljose Mohanlal starrer Velipadinte Pusthakam; Mammootty’s Pullikkaran staraa, Prithviraj’s Adam joan and Nivin Pauly’s Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela. However, Dulquer Salmaan’s Parava and Neeraj Madhav-Aju Varghese duo’s Lava Kusha are the two movies that have pulled out of the exciting Onam season.

Velipadinte Pusthakam is a Malayalam comedy film directed by Lal Jose and written by Benny P. Nayarambalam. The film produced by Aashirvad Cinemas stars Mohanlal in the lead role, with Priyanka Nair and Anna Rajan playing heroines.The film is scheduled to be released on 31 August 2017.

Pullikkaran Staraa is a Malayalam comedy film written and directed by Shyamdhar and starring Mammootty, Asha Sarath and Deepti Sati in the lead roles. The film is slated for release on 1 September 2017.

Adam Joan is a Malayalam romantic thriller film written and directed by Jinu Abraham. It will be produced by Jose Simon Brijeesh Mohammed and B cinemas with Renji Panicker Entertainment. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mishti and Bhavana in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to be released in India on 1 September 2017.

Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela is a Malayalam comedy film directed and co-written by Althaf Salim. It stars Nivin Pauly, Ahaana Krishna and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles, along with Lal, Shanthi Krishna, Siju Wilson, Sharafudheen, and Krishna shankar. It is produced by Nivin Pauly himself under his home production banner, Pauly Jr. Pictures. The film is slated for release on 1 September 2017.

Parava, which marks the directorial debut of noted actor Soubin Shahir is said to have been rescheduled for September 14.
