Odiyan to start rolling on August 24

‘Odiyan’, which is expected to be one of the costliest projects ever made in the history of Malayalam cinema, is directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, who will also be helming Mohanlal’s prestigious project Randamoozham. Now the latest that we hear is the movie will begin its first schedule in Varanasi on August 24.

Mohanlal will be playing Odiyan Manikyam in the movie, which will see him portraying the character from age 30 to 65. ‘Odiyan’ will have Manju Warrier in the female lead along with Prakash Raj in an important role. Peter Hein has been roped in as the action choreographer for the movie. Odiyan, scripted by journalist and National Award winner Harikrishnan and is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Apart from Varanasi, Hyderabad and Palakkad are the other locations.
