Mollywood Nominations For 64th National Film Awards !!!

Vinayakan and Ten Malayalam movies are nominated for 64th national film awards.The names have been included in the list submitted by the regional juries of south Indian films.

Kammatipaadam Directed by Rajeev Ravi ,Guppy by John Paul ,Dr.Biju’s Kaadu Pookkunna Neram,Dileesh Pothan’s Maheshinte Prathikaaram,Adoor Gopala Krishnan’s Pinneyum, Ottayal Patha, Minnaminungu, Kamboji are some of the major movies which have been shortlisted for the Award.

Vinayakan, who won the Kerala State best actor award 2016 is being considered for the best actor award in the 64th National Film awards too. Vinayakan’s Ganga character in Kammatipaadam got much appreciation from the audience and the jury.

Priyadarshan has been appointed as the head of the 64th National Film Award jury. As per the sources, the jury members are not allowed to nominate their films for the award. so that’s why oppam was not shortlisted in the 64th National Film Award.

Malayalam films received 4 awards and one special jury/special mention in the last year national film awards.
