Mohanlal and Shafi to team up ?

Reports has it that director Shafi is planning to direct a film with Super star Mohanlal in the lead. Shafi recently said in an interview that he had wanted to work with Mohanlal, But for some reason this did not happen. However, the director has got another project with the actor, which has given nod to. Hope the much awaited union will happen this time. We are still waiting for an official confirmation regarding the project.

Interestingly, Mohanlal is now teaming up with new directors these days. His next movie to be directed by Lal Jose for the first time. Hereafter he will work with ad filmmaker Shrikumar Menon’s big budget fantasy movie Odiyan.

Shafi is one of the directors who has given some of the evergreen comedy entertainers in Mollywood, like Kalyanaraman, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu, Pulival Kalyanam, Mayavi and Two Countries. Shafi and Mammootty have worked together in the earlier films like Thommanum Makkalum, Mayavi, Chattambinadu and Venicile Vyapari. And it seems like this time for a Mohanlal starrer film.

Meanwhile, Shafi has started work on his next movie,titled as Sherlock Toms, which has Biju Menon, Srinda and Miya in the lead. This movie is touted to be an all-out comedy entertainer.
