‘RRR’ creates history as it bags the ‘Best Original Song award’ for a Motion picture at the Golden Globes 2023

‘RRR’ wins the  ‘The Best Original Song Award’ for a Motion picture at the Golden Globes 2023.With this win, ‘Naatu Naatu’ has emerged as the first Asian song to bag this award.The film bagged two nods, for best picture non-English and best original song – motion picture.However it lost out the  ‘best picture-non English’ to Santiago Mitre’s “Argentina, 1985”.

The song  ‘Naatu Naatu’ has been choreographed Prem Rakshith, with MM Keeravaani being the music director and lyrics penned by Chandrabose.After receiving the award, an emotional MM Keeravani said, “Thank you very much for this prestigious award. I am just very overwhelmed and i am very happy to share this moment with my wife who is sitting right there. It has been a practice to say that this award belongs to someone else and not me, but I am going to break that. ” In his speech, the filmmaker also thanked Junior NTR and Ram Charan who danced to this song.
