Mammootty’s Karnan will have 70 crore budget !!!

After years of speculation, Director Madhupal recently revealed the status of his much anticipated project Karnan, scripted by P Sreekumar, will start rolling in next year. Reportedly ,the movie was made with a budget of 70 crore. Earlier there have rumour that Mammootty backed out from project to avoid clash with Prithviraj’s Karnan. But Madhupal dismissed it as a false claim.

As of now ,Mammootty’s Pazhassiraja and Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan are the most expensive movies ever made in Mollywood with a budget of 27 crores and 25 crores respectively. Meanwhile,Jayaraj directorial Veeram and Tovino’s Chengazhi Nambiar is gearing up for release,which is said to be made on a budget of 35 crores and 100 crores respectively.
